Momate Lotion

Momate Lotion is a topical medication used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, allergies, and rash. It contains mometasone, a corticosteroid that helps to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin.

Uses

• Eczema, psoriasis, allergies, and rash treatment
• Reduces inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin

Dosage

• Apply a thin layer of Momate Lotion to the affected area once daily
• Gently rub in the lotion
• Do not cover the treated area with bandages or other dressings unless instructed to do so by a doctor.

Side Effects

• Rarely, it may increase the intraocular pressure and cause glaucoma.

Precautions

• Avoid using this Lotion on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed to do so by a doctor.
• Avoid using Momate Lotion on skin areas that have cuts, scrapes, or burns
• Do not use this Lotion in the diaper area of an infant
• In addition to causing unwanted side effects, diapers or plastic pants increase the amount of medicine absorbed through the skin

Interactions

• Interaction with alcohol is unknown.
• Inform your doctor if you are using any other topical medicines before beginning treatment with Momate Lotion.
• Momate Lotion may interact with many other medicines and cause undesired effects.

Warnings

• Avoid using Momate Lotion if you are allergic to it
• Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare
• Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling, severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
